About V-Audio

V-Audio was founded in 2024 with a long-term vision: to bring South Africa access to high-quality audio products and engineering standards that were previously difficult or in many cases, impossible to obtain locally.

 

The brand began from a simple frustration. Many of the specialised audio products and technologies available internationally were either completely unavailable in South Africa or prohibitively expensive once exchange rates and import costs were considered. V-Audio was created to change that by designing and manufacturing products locally, while maintaining the performance, reliability, and engineering standards expected from premium international equipment.

 

Our manufacturing, design, testing, and distribution are all based in Durban, South Africa, with shipping currently available nationwide.

 

Behind V-Audio is over 15 years of hands-on audio experience spanning car audio, home audio, DJ sound, pro audio and audiophile systems. This experience is supported by a strong engineering and scientific foundation, including formal studies in Physics and Electromagnetism, with a specialised focus on electrical signal behaviour, wiring topology, and system design.

 

V-Audio also benefits from the involvement of multiple generations of engineering experience. Alongside the brand’s founder, whose background is rooted in research and development physics, the company draws from over 50 years of audio and electrical systems experience, including advanced studies in control systems and heavy current electrical infrastructure.

 

Every V-Audio product is designed in-house and undergoes extensive research and development before release. Designs are refined over months of testing, evaluation, and real-world implementation to ensure each product serves a clear purpose within an audio system while delivering measurable performance, long-term reliability, and practical usability.

 

Our approach is heavily engineering-driven. Rather than following trends or relying on marketing claims, products are developed through scientific testing, careful analysis, and real-world validation across both technical measurement environments and dedicated audiophile listening systems.

 

With extensive experience in custom wiring, signal routing, soldering and wire harness repair, V-Audio places significant emphasis on signal integrity, build quality, and long-term durability. We believe audio products should be built to perform consistently for many years—not to become disposable components requiring constant replacement.
